With the Liberty men's and women's basketball teams both preparing for upcoming home games, the Flames Sports Hotline will return Tuesday at 7 p.m. Alan York will welcome Flames guard John Caleb Sanders, men's basketball coach Dale Layer and head women's basketball coach Carey Green to the show, to discuss their respective teams.
The Flames Sports Hotline, a weekly radio call-in show, airs on Victory FM (88.3 FM), the flagship station for the Flames Sports Radio Network.
The weekly show is hosted locally in Lynchburg on Liberty University's campus at Doc's Diner, and the restaurant is open to the general public. The show is broadcast live throughout the 50's-style diner and fans are encouraged to participate during the call-in segments.
York, the "Voice of the Flames," will host the 60-minute call-in show. Sanders and Layer will join him for the first 40 minutes of the program, with Green featured for the final 20 minutes.
The Liberty men's basketball team will close out the regular season with a pair of home games this week. Coastal Carolina will visit the Vines Center Thursday at 7 p.m., and the Flames will host Campbell Saturday at 7 p.m. in the regular-season finale. Saturday's game is Senior Night, and the quartet of John Brown, Tanner Hoyt, David Minaya and Jesse Sanders will be recognized prior to tipoff.
Meanwhile, the Lady Flames will host Gardner-Webb Saturday at 4 p.m. and UNC Asheville Monday at 7 p.m. Liberty will also celebrate Senior Day on Saturday, honoring Danika Dale and Avery Warley. The Lady Flames can clinch the No. 1 seed for the Big South Women's Basketball Championship with their next victory.
Those not able to participate in the call-in portion of the show are encouraged to email their questions for Sanders, Layer and Green to FSNbroadcast@liberty.edu, prior to the start of the show, or send direct messages to York's Twitter page (www.twitter.com/luradiopxp).
Flames fans can listen to the show locally by tuning their radio dials to 88.3 FM Victory FM or one of the local affiliates for the Victory FM Radio Network. The show will also air live online at LibertyFlames.com and can be heard by clicking on the link above.
