With the Liberty women's basketball team getting ready for a pair of important Big South road games, Nick Pierce caught up with redshirt junior forward Tolu Omotola and head coach Carey Green.

Omotola played a key role in the Lady Flames' road victories at UNC Asheville and Gardner-Webb on Saturday and Monday, averaging 9.5 ppg and 5.0 rpg. She scored 10 of her 11 points during the second half of Saturday's 78-56 victory at Asheville, helping the Lady Flames overcome a three-point halftime deficit.

Liberty has won a season-best seven consecutive games, improving to 13-7 overall and 8-1 in the Big South. On Saturday at 1 p.m., the Lady Flames will play at Campbell, attempting to snap the Lady Camels' 11-game home winning streak.

Liberty will then head to High Point Monday at 7 p.m. for a matchup of the Big South Conference's top two teams. The Panthers currently lead the conference standings at 9-0 and defeated Liberty by a 73-69 score in overtime, Jan. 7 at the Vines Center.
