As Liberty's newest recruits ink their national letters of intent, LibertyFlames.com will be posting real-time updates allowing you to follow each new addition to the program.

Transferring to Liberty from Butte College in Oroville, Calif. … will have two years of eligibility remaining at Liberty … honorable-mention All-State/All-America NORCAL team … finished his last season at Butte with 47 tackles, 7.5 tackles for a loss and five sacks … attended South Carolina State in 2010 and finished the season with 13 tackles … started his collegiate career at Buffalo under head coach Turner Gill in 2009 … was named Buffalo's most improved player during spring practice … all-region, all-area and all-state honoree at South Point High School … finished his senior season with 67 tackles, 18 tackles for a loss and eight sacks … also a letterwinner in basketball … son of Grafonda Ruff … intents to major in communications at Liberty.

Maximilian Sommer – DE, 6-6, 260, Hamburg, Germany/St. Pauli Buccaneers
Three-time selection to the All-Hamburg team … invited to play for the Germany national team … during his senior season, he finished the year with 14 sacks and five forced fumbles … also played tight end as a senior and recorded three touchdowns … led his team to four consecutive No. 1 finishes in the divisional standings … four-time game MVP.

Zach Erickson – LB, 6-1, 255, Memphis, Tenn./Memphis University HS

Three-year letterwinner … finished his career with 152 tackles … helped Memphis University High School to state titles as a sophomore and junior … was the only non-senior athlete to start on defense as a junior … Memphis University finished his junior year ranked No. 4 nationally in the final Rivals.com high school poll … Memphis University posted a 13-0 record during his junior year, which included wins over two former state championship programs (Mississippi's South Panola and Tennessee's White Station) … individually finished the year ranked No. 6 in the state with 83 tackles, to go along with six tackles for a loss, two interceptions, two pass breakups and three fumble recoveries … was named to two preseason all-state teams … team captain … son of Todd and Lynn Erickson.

Two-year starter … honorable-mention defensive back as a junior … finished his junior year with nine receptions and a touchdown … first-team all-state honoree as a senior … capped off his career at Caesar Rodney High School with 43 receptions for 1,264 yards and 19 touchdowns as a senior … also recorded six interceptions and a kickoff return for a touchdown during his final season … first-team all-conference as a senior … finished the Blue-Gold All-Star game with an interception and a touchdown … was a McDonald's All-American nominee in basketball … second-team all-state and first-team all-conference in basketball … track & field high school state champion in the high jump and 4x200 relay … son of Stephanie Shells-Carter.
