Graduating senior football players Asa Chapman and Tommy Shaver will be playing among 100 potential future NFL prospects this weekend at the AstroTurf NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.

The AstroTurf NFLPA Collegiate Bowl is one of the premier college football all-star games around the country leading up to the 2012 NFL Draft in April. This Saturday's event will be played at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. Kickoff is slated for 3 p.m. (PST).

The "American" and "National" team rosters will be comprised of players from all levels of NCAA competition, with most players coming from FBS and FCS programs.

Chapman will be among the list of players on the "American" roster, who will play under the direction of Tom Flores, former coach of the Oakland Raiders. Flores is one of two people in NFL history to have won a Super Bowl as a player, an assistant coach and as a head coach.

Shaver will be on the opposite sideline on the "National" roster, a group that will be led by Dick Vermeil. Vermeil, a "Coach of the Year" award winner at four different levels of football, coached 14 years in the NFL, a run that included leading the St. Louis Rams to a Super Bowl title in 1999.

Chapman earned his third career Big South all-conference honor in 2011 after finishing the season with 35 stops, including 2.5 tackles for a loss and a sack. The defensive lineman completed his four-year run at Liberty tied as the program's active tackles leader with 126 career stops (42 solo, 84 assisted).

Shaver continued Liberty's run of award winning tight ends in 2011, as he became the sixth tight end in the last seven years to earn Big South all-conference honors. He finished the 2011 season with a career-best 17 receptions for 307 yards and he was one of five players on Liberty's roster with multiple touchdown receptions.
