Head coach Carey Green and the Liberty women's basketball team will host High Point for a battle of Big South Conference unbeatens, Saturday at 7 p.m. inside the Vines Center.

After the Liberty women's basketball team opened Big South Conference play with a victory for the 11th time in 12 seasons, Nick Pierce caught up with head coach Carey Green.

The Lady Flames posted a hard-fought 76-68 win at Radford on Saturday to open up defense of their Big South Conference regular-season title on the right foot. Four players scored in double figures, led by Devon Brown's 19 points. Meanwhile, Liberty shot a season-best 60.5 percent (26-of-43) from the field and outrebounded the Highlanders, 41-23.

Liberty (6-6, 1-0 Big South) is now preparing for its first two Big South home games of the season. The Lady Flames will host High Point Saturday at 7 p.m. and welcome conference newcomer Campbell to the Vines Center Monday at 7 p.m. Both the Panthers and Camels are 2-0 in Big South play this season.
