On the heels of two straight home wins by the Liberty women's basketball team, Nick Pierce caught up with senior Danika Dale and head coach Carey Green.

One of two seniors on the Lady Flames' roster, Dale has started every game this season. The Fort Hood, Texas native ranks second on the squad in both assists (33) and steals (19).

Liberty is now 5-5 on the year, after an 82-37 victory over Virginia Union Thursday evening at the Vines Center. The Lady Flames will wrap up their non-conference schedule Tuesday at 4 p.m., when they travel across the Commonwealth to face Richmond.

Liberty will then take an extended break from competition prior to the start of Big South Conference play. The reigning Big South regular-season champion Lady Flames will tip off conference play Dec. 31 at 4:30 p.m. at Radford.
