Reagan Miller earned the first Big South Freshman of the Week award of her career.

Liberty point guard Reagan Miller has been named the Big South Conference The Crons Brand Women's Basketball Freshman of the Week, it was announced today.

Miller earned the award for the first time in her young career after helping the Lady Flames go 2-1 last week. The Sanger, Texas native averaged 11.0 ppg and 2.7 apg, while connecting on a team-high seven three-pointers in the three contests.

Miller got her week started by making three triples during an 11-point effort on Tuesday against Virginia-Wise. Her efforts contributed to an 82-39 victory, marking the Lady Flames' first home win of the 2011-12 season.

The freshman's best effort last week came in Liberty's most recent game, a 70-27 triumph over Lipscomb on Saturday in the consolation game of the Vanderbilt Thanksgiving Tournament. Miller led all players in the scoring column, dropping in a career-high 18 points against the Lady Bisons. She also drilled a career-best four three-pointers and matched her career high with four assists.

Miller and the 3-3 Lady Flames will return to action Thursday at 7 p.m., when 4-0 James Madison visits the Vines Center.
