Liberty head volleyball coach Shane Pinder has led the Lady Flames to their sixth Big South title all-time, and Liberty will make its sixth NCAA Tournament appearance.

The top-seeded Liberty volleyball team swept No. 3 seed Radford, 3-0, on Sunday in Charleston, S.C. to claim the Lady Flames' record-setting sixth Big South Tournament title.  The Lady Flames receive the Big South's automatic qualifying berth into the 2011 NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Championship, which is set to begin Dec. 1.

Loren Thomas was named Big South Tournament MVP, after earning first-team all-conference mention earlier in the week. Lillie Happel and Kelly Haseman joined Thomas on the all-tournament team.

LibertyFlames.com's Nick Pierce caught up with Liberty head volleyball coach Shane Pinder, along with Thomas, for a pair of interviews. The interviews covered Liberty's tournament run, a look back at the season to date, and also included a brief discussion of the team's mindset entering the NCAA Tournament.

Liberty will await its NCAA postseason matchup and destination, as the NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Championship bracket will be revealed on Sunday at 6 p.m. on ESPNU.
