The Flames Weekend Wrap-Up returns today and looks back at how Liberty used last week's bye week, plus looks ahead at this weekend's regular-season finale at Stony Brook.

Following a 37-31 victory over VMI, head coach Danny Rocco gave his players some much needed time off, before Liberty returned to the practice field later in the week.

The Flames had Sunday and Tuesday completely off, while the team had weightlifting sessions on Monday and Wednesday. Finally, Liberty practiced on Thursday and Friday afternoons and Saturday morning, before returning to a normal game week schedule.

The Flames have been victorious each of the last four seasons, when having an extra week to prepare for an opponent. During the four-game winning streak following a bye week, the Flames have scored an average of 43.25 points per game and have outscored their opponents by an average of 24.5 points per game when having an extra week to prepare.

Refreshed and recharged, the Flames will now turn their attention over to Stony Brook, the team that shares the Big South lead with Liberty at 5-0 in conference play. The victor in Saturday's game at LaValle Stadium will capture the Big South title and the league's automatic bid to the NCAA FCS Playoffs.
