The Game
Liberty heads to Williamsburg, Va., on Monday to take on Colonial Athletic  Association (CAA) member William & Mary. Dale Layer's squad looks to build upon its winning record over the Tribe, as the Flames currently hold a 3-1 advantage in the all-time series. Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m.

The Flames also hope to perform much better than their previous meeting versus William & Mary in Kaplan Arena, when they fell to the Tribe, 91-64, on Nov. 23, 2003.

The contest marks the first of two meetings against William & Mary, this season. Liberty will host the Tribe in the Vines Center this Sunday in the final matchup of the 2K Sports Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer.

Recent Results
The Liberty men's basketball team did not disappoint in its 2011-12 home opener, defeating Randolph College, Friday night, 81-58.

With the win, the Flames move to 1-1 on the season. Liberty is now 31-9 all-time in home openers and 18-4 when playing its first contest of the season in the Vines Center.
Tavares Speaks led the Flames with a game-high 18 points in his Vines Center debut, followed by John Caleb Sanders, who finished with 17.

No. 19 Texas A&M proved why it is nationally ranked, last Wednesday night, defeating Liberty inside Reed Arena, 81-59. The contest was part of the regional round in the 2K Sports Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer.

The Aggies were led by Ray Turner, who finished the contest with 20 points and six rebounds. John Caleb Sanders paced the Flames with a career-high 18 points.

Notes and Anecdotes
- Liberty will play William & Mary twice within a week. William & Mary will visit the Vines Center on Sunday in the final matchup of the 2K Sports Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer Lynchburg Subregional.

- Liberty has played only one of its four meetings against the Tribe at Kaplan Arena. In the previous matchup inside the facility, William & Mary walked away with a 91-64 victory.

- Jesse Sanders is the only Liberty player to play in the Flames' 80-74 double overtime win over the Tribe on Nov. 29, 2008. Sanders finished the contest with 11 points and eight rebounds. Quinn McDowell and Kendrix Brown were the two players from the Tribe in the contest. McDowell chipped in 11 points for William & Mary. Brown finished with one point and four rebounds.

- William & Mary is the only current CAA member to hold a losing record (1-3) against Liberty.
