Flames SportsDesk Revisited: Oct. 29
In an effort to continue to expand its coverage of Liberty Athletics, the Flames Sports Network has released this week's showing of the Flames SportsDesk.
The weekly 30-minute, magazine-style show will focus on Liberty's football program during the fall, before shifting to the Flames' basketball and baseball teams later in the year.
The weekly show is hosted by "Voice of the Flames" Alan York and FSN reporter Erin McKeown. Additionally, each show will have a general athletics or an Olympic sport segment, giving all of Liberty's athletics programs added coverage.
The show will originally air on the Liberty Channel four times a week – Thursday (8:30 p.m.), Friday (8 a.m.) and Saturday (12 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.).
Additionally, several regional and national networks are already slated to pick up the 30-minute show: MASN (regional coverage/Saturday mornings at 9:30 a.m.), CTN (regional coverage - Florida) and WSET 13.2 (local/regional coverage - Digital 2 station for WSET - Channel 13). Fans wishing to watch the weekly show on these networks are encouraged to check their local listings for these stations.
Finally, the Flames SportsDesk will also be available on www.LibertyFlames.com most Saturday mornings, helping prepare Liberty fans for that day's football match-up.
During this week's show, York opens by talking with sixth-year head football coach Danny Rocco. The two look back at Liberty's 38-16 road victory over Charleston Southern, last Saturday, plus preview today's home football game against Presbyterian College.
McKeown than visits with head swimming coach Jake Shellenberger and senior All-America kicker Matt Bevins. Finally, FSN TV gives you a behind-the-scenes look at game day through the eyes of the equipment staff, while the Flames SportsDesk brings you another "Getting Fit with Bill" segment, featuring head strength coach Bill Gillespie.
