Liberty setter Kallie Corbin has been honored as the New Balance Big South Freshman of the Week for the second time this season after leading the Lady Flames volleyball team into third place in the conference standings with a pair of wins last week. Highlighting Corbin's week was her second career triple-double, which came in Saturday's 3-2 victory over Birmingham-Southern.

Corbin totaled 129 assists, 49 digs, 24 kills, six aces and five blocks during Liberty's three matches. She led the team in assists, aces and attack percentage (.219). The freshman now sits atop the Big South Conference in aces (43/0.51 apg), is sixth in assists (854/10.05 apg) and is ninth in digs (306/3.60 dpg).

The Beaverton, Ore., native posted 39 assists and a team-high 14 digs in Tuesday's contest against Charlotte. She then missed a triple-double by just one kill on Friday, tallying nine kills, 45 assists and 21 digs in the Lady Flames' 3-1 win against UNC Asheville. On Saturday, Corbin played one of her best all-around matches of the season versus Birmingham-Southern, finishing with 10 kills, 45 assists, 14 digs and five aces. She is the only Big South player who has recorded a triple-double this season.

Liberty, 5-1 at home this season, will look to improve upon that mark when it hosts conference-leading Winthrop this Friday at 7 p.m.
