Danny Rocco To Speak At Flames Club Luncheon On Friday
The Flames Club has continued to achieve record memberships this year already surpassing last season's entire total by September 1st. Through October 31, The Flames Club has already doubled the membership numbers from last year and has reached the $200,000 plateau for the first time in history.
Not included in those record numbers are the current 547 Student Flame Club members that have joined for the 2006-07 season, the first of its existence.
Headlining the list of featured speakers for Friday's luncheon will be head football coach, Danny Rocco who will discuss the season to date and the next day's game against Western Carolina.
Cross country head coach Brant Tolsma and women's volleyball head coach Shane Pinder will round out the list of speakers as they discuss their teams. Tolsma will touch on the Flames men's and women's Big South Championships and look ahead to the NCAA regional meet while Pinder will discuss his team's push for the Big South Championship.
The Flames Club serves as the booster organization for Liberty University Athletics and meets once a month on a designated Friday during the athletic season. The luncheons run from noon to 1:30 p.m. and a buffet lunch is provided for a $10 cover charge. Select coaches speak each week, giving insight into the progress of their programs, presenting video highlights and taking questions from those present.
Discount advance tickets are available for each luncheon, and season passes may be purchased for the remaining nine luncheons scheduled for only $56. Season passes are non-refundable and non-transferable.
