Flames Rank Ninth in Latest South Atlantic Region Poll

The Liberty men's soccer team is ranked ninth among the South Atlantic Region's top teams, as the latest regional rankings were released this afternoon.

The Flames have appeared in the NSCAA regional rankings each of the last three weeks. Liberty dropped one spot from last week's poll, where Flames were listed eighth. Maryland, 10-0-1, tops the South Atlantic Region rankings and is ranked second in the NCAA Division I national rankings.

Liberty enters the week with a 6-2 overall and a 1-1 Big South Conference mark. The Flames lead the nation in scoring offense (2.88 goals/game) through contests of Oct. 2.

Liberty finishes a span of three consecutive conference road games on Saturday by traveling to Boiling Springs, N.C., for a match with the Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs.  Match time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
