Southeastern Louisiana holds a seven-stroke lead over Sam Houston State after shooting a 559 on the first day of play on Monday at Texas-San Antonio's Invitational at the Oak Hills Country Club in Kerrville, Texas.

St. John's posted a 569 while Texas-San Antonio shot a 575 and Texas State shot a 578 rounding out the top five.

Thomas Kearney from Texas-San Antonio shot a 68 in the first round and a 67 in the second round while Keegan Bradley from St. Johns shot a 66 in the first round and a 69 in the second round to tie for the lead at day's end with a 135. Peter O'Keeffe is one stroke back in third place at 136 while Robert Gwin of Sam Houston State is three strokes back in fourth place at 138.

Liberty finished the first day tied for ninth with Stephen F. Austin State finishing with a 593 which is 34-strokes off the lead. The Flames were led by Parker McKoy, who finished day one tied for 17th at 145. Steve Hawk finished the day at 148 while Josh Bain shot a 150. Peter Horstman and Jay Calvo each shot 153 to round out the Liberty squad.

The tournament will conclude with the final 18 holes of competition on Tuesday at the par-72, 7,103-yard Oak Hills Country Club in Kerrville, Texas.
