Flames Ranked in South Atlantic Region Poll

The Liberty Flames are ranked in the South Atlantic Region poll this week.

The Liberty men's soccer team has been ranked among the South Atlantic Region's top teams in the latest regional rankings, released this afternoon.

The Flames appear in the NSCAA regional rankings for the first time this season, being listed eighth in the region.  Undefeated Maryland, 7-0-0, tops both the South Atlantic Region rankings and the NCAA Division I national rankings.

Liberty enters the week with a 4-1 mark, after a 2-0 shutout of Virginia, ranked fifth regionally and 10th nationally at the time, and a 4-0 victory over Howard. The shutouts were the first two of the season for the Flames.

This week, Liberty hosts Southern Virginia and Cedarville at Osborne Stadium.  The Flames will square off with Southern Virginia this evening at 7 p.m., while facing Cedarville at 4 p.m., Friday.
