The Liberty Lady Flames volleyball team earned the tournament title at the Liberty Invitational presented by Pepsi, and will next play at N.C. State Friday and Saturday.

The Liberty Lady Flames went 3-0 over the weekend, earning the tournament championship at the Liberty Invitational presented by Pepsi. Liberty's Lillie Happel and Jade Craycraft were named to the all-tournament team, with Happel earning MVP honors.

Liberty (4-6) will next travel to Raleigh, N.C. to play in the Courtyard Midtown Invitational, hosted by N.C. State Friday and Saturday. The team will aim to continue its strong play of late this weekend against N.C. State (9-1), Towson (10-3) and The Citadel (4-1).

Nick Pierce caught up with Liberty head coach Shane Pinder, along with Happel, the Big South Player of the Week. Pinder discusses the Lady Flames' season to date, along with a look forward to the Courtyard Midtown Invitational. Pierce and Happel speak about the conference award, plus highlights from the early season.
