The Liberty Flames men's soccer team opened preparations for the upcoming 2011 season this morning.

After finishing last season with a 10-7-1 record, the Flames will be looking to capture the program's second Big South crown and record a double-digit victory campaign for the fifth consecutive year in 2011.

Head Coach Jeff Alder's team opened preseason practice with a roster of 27 players, 18 of which return from last season's squad.

Liberty will begin its 2011 season Aug. 27 in Indianapolis, Ind., against the IUPUI Jaguars. The Flames will open their home schedule on Aug. 30 at Osborne Stadium, when they host the Longwood Lancers at 7 p.m.
