Day 1 – After hours of travel by bus, plane and train, the Flames arrived at their hotel in Brussels, Belgium around 9:20 a.m. (Belgium time), Tuesday.

The team's journey began Monday with a three and a half hour bus ride from the Vines Center to Dulles Airport in Washington, D.C. Upon boarding the plane, head coach Dale Layer and his squad spent seven hours aboard United Flight #950 before landing in Brussels around 7 a.m. on Tuesday. From the airport, the Flames boarded a train and then walked the remainder of the way to their hotel.

Having to adjust to the six-hour time differential, the players took time to rest before stepping out on the streets around 3:30 p.m. During the Flames' inaugural walking tour, players, coaches and their families saw two magnificent churches – St. Catherine Church and St. Jean Baptiste.

Before checking out the various shops around town, the Flames capped off the walking tour at Grand Place, one of the most well kept squares in all of Europe.
