Just days before the Liberty men's basketball team boards a plane for Brussels, Belgium, the Flames Sports Network caught up with the team as the Flames prepare for their nine-day voyage.

The following video includes interviews with head coach Dale Layer along with senior leaders Jesse Sanders and John Brown. In addition, the two-minute feature also provides a sneak peek into the team's preparation on the court and in the classroom.

Departing Monday from Dulles Airport, the Flames will arrive in Brussels, Tuesday morning, and will return to the states on Aug. 18.

The Flames will compete in a total of six games within the countries of Belgium and France, while also taking time to learn about European culture through a variety of walking tours.

During the nine-day excursion, LibertyFlames.com will follow the team as it travels through the two European countries, providing a daily blog complete with videos, photo galleries and game highlights. Check back with the website on Tuesday for a full summary of the squad's inaugural day in Brussels.
