Nick Pierce sat down recently with Liberty swimming coach Jake Shellenberger to discuss the upcoming USA Swimming National Championships, set for Aug. 2-6 at the campus of Stanford University in Palo Alto, Calif.

Liberty will send four student-athletes to the championships, as Brye Ravettine has qualified in the 50-meter freestyle. The Lady Flames 400-meter freestyle relay of Ravettine, Sarah McCorkle, Emily Mudd and Bethany Wakeley will compete as well.

Shellenberger provides a brief preview of the meet, speaking about the significance of Liberty competing at nationals and the Lady Flames' expectations for their performances.
