Red Evens Annual Red-Blue Series

Shortstop Patrick Gaillard and catcher Corey Johnson each had two hits to lead the Red team to a 10-4 victory over the Blue team in game two of the annual Red vs. Blue series, Wednesday afternoon at Worthington Stadium.

Plating three runs on three hits in the bottom of the first inning, the Red team never trailed in the contest. The Red team added single runs in the fourth, fifth, and sixth innings.

Infielder Aaron Phillips secured the win for the Red squad in the bottom of the eighth with a three-run homer.

Five pitchers from the Red team held the Blue team in check throughout the afternoon, allowing four runs.

The Blue team had two players with multiple hits on the afternoon. Aaron Grijalva picked up two hits including a solo home run, while Cody Brown had four hits with a solo home run.

The annual fall series is now split at 1-1. The Blue team took game one of the series on Monday, 8-0.

The deciding game of the series will be played Friday afternoon at Worthington Stadium.
