Howard-Liberty Women's Soccer Match Canceled

The Howard Lady Bison and the Liberty Lady Flames women's soccer contest scheduled for this afternoon has been canceled.

Slated to start at 4 p.m., the contest was delayed as the two teams waited for officials, who were not assigned due to a miscommunication in the assignment office.

After both teams waited, two officials did come to the Liberty Soccer Field, but by that time, it was decided to cancel the contest.

The match will not be made up.

The Lady Flames will return to action on Saturday as they host Birmingham-Southern in a Big South Conference match as part of Homecoming Weekend festivities.  The four seniors on the Liberty squad playing in their last home match will be honored before the game.  Match time is slated for 11 a.m.
