From the top row of the bleachers at Indiana's Robert C. Haugh Track & Field Complex, LibertyFlames.com will provide live blog coverage of all three days of the 2011 NCAA Division I East Preliminary Round meet.

Yesterday, Kolby Shepherd qualified for the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships in the men's pole vault. Liberty now has three athletes bound for Des Moines, Iowa in two weeks, also including Sam Chelanga (men's 10K) and Elliot Galeone (men's javelin).

Today, both Chelanga and Galeone will attempt to reach Des Moines in a second event, while Isaac Wendland hopes to make it to his home state of Iowa in the men's 1,500.

Here is the full schedule of today's events involving Liberty competitors.

5 p.m. – Men's Discus (Elliot Galeone)
6:45 p.m. – Men's 1,500 (Isaac Wendland)
8:45 p.m. – Men's 5K (Sam Chelanga)

I will again be using the interactive CoveritLive blog interface. This format allows readers to submit comments and questions throughout the day, as you follow your favorite Flames and Lady Flames.

Without further ado, go Liberty!
