Liberty swimmer Brye Ravettine has been named an honorable mention for the CollegeSwimming.com Mid-Major All-American Team.

After the eight men and 19 women who earned All-American status, an additional 118 men and 161 female swimmers were awarded honorable mention status. Honorable mention selections are swimmers who were entered with NCAA 'B' standards, but not selected for the 2011 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships.

Those 279 swimmers represented 87 teams at sixty-two schools.

Ravettine, a rising redshirt sophomore from Mahwah, N.J., earned Co-Freshman of the Meet honors and the Lady Flames finished sixth at the 2011 Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association (CCSA) Championships in Athens, Ga.

Ravettine scored 49 total points in the meet, and also clocked a NCAA B-cut time in the 50 freestyle, which added four points to her total. Her grand total of 53 points tied Jessie Porter of Florida Gulf Coast.

The following conferences have been designated as Mid-Majors: America East, Atlantic 10, Colonial Athletic Association, Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association, Horizon, Ivy, Metro Atlantic, Mid-American, Mountain Pacific, Missouri Valley, Patriot, Sun Belt, Summit, and Western Athletic. Liberty is part of the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association.
