Walborn Tabbed NLC All-Tournament Selection

Freshman attacker Karis Walborn was named to the 2011 NLC All-Tournament Team, Sunday.

Freshman attacker Karis Walborn has been named to the 2011 National Lacrosse Conference (NLC) All-Tournament Team, as announced, Sunday, following the championship finals.

Walborn led the Lady Flames during the tournament with seven goals and three assists. After netting one goal on Friday in Liberty's opening round contest against Davidson, the Nyack, N.Y. native let loose on Saturday versus Howard.

During the second round matchup, the attacker posted a game-high six goals and three assists, setting a new program record for most goals in an NLC Tournament contest and tying teammate Nina Dunay for Liberty's single-game scoring mark.

Walborn also led the team in ground balls on the day with four, helping the Lady Flames secure a 16-13 victory over the Bison.

For the year, Walborn paced the Lady Flames with 40 goals, setting a new single-season scoring mark.
