Junior captain Chloe McIntosh and sophomore midfielder Audra Menez have been named to the 2011 National Lacrosse Conference Academic All-League Team, as announced by the conference office.

To be eligible for recognition on the academic all-league team, a student-athlete must be a sophomore in class standing, carry a GPA of 3.40 or above on a 4.0 scale, and have been a starter or key reserve.

McIntosh, a kinesiology major, holds a 3.69 grade point average. The honor marks the junior's second straight NLC all-academic selection, as she was named to the team last year. Upon graduation next year, McIntosh hopes to pursue a career in physical therapy.

This season, the Dallas, Texas native transitioned from midfield to defender and leads the Liberty defense in ground balls with 43. McIntosh is also third on team in caused turnovers, forcing 12 miscues.

Menez, a sport management major, is the only member of the 22-member all-academic team with a perfect 4.0 grade point average. Heading into the final game of the season, the Clayton, Calif., native leads Lady Flames with 12 assists and currently holds the program record for most helpers in a single season. In addition to her assist total, the sophomore is fifth on the squad in goals with 12.

In Liberty's final regular-season contest against Lees-McRae this past Sunday, Menez chipped in six assists, setting a new Liberty single-game record.
