Tiffani Smith and the Lady Flames will host Hampton on Tuesday and Norfolk State on Wednesday for non-conference doubleheaders at Liberty Softball Field.

After a road trip to Harrisonburg, Va. and Boiling Springs, N.C., the Liberty Lady Flames are back on their home field this week, hosting Hampton and Norfolk State in non-conference doubleheaders on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Live stats for Tuesday's contests against Hampton and Wednesday's games against Norfolk State will be available via GameTracker on LibertyFlames.com.

Liberty is currently on a four-game winning streak, the team's longest of the season, after splitting a doubleheader with James Madison before sweeping Gardner-Webb in a three-game conference series over the weekend.

Two out of three wins over the Runnin' Bulldogs were comebacks, highlighted by Saturday's thriller in which Liberty scored seven runs in the seventh inning to overcome an 8-1 deficit, before going on to win, 11-8.

Keely McMillon hit two home runs in the first game on Friday, including her first career grand slam. The two-time Big South Player of the Week is hitting .391 on the year.

Kelly Strickland leads the team, batting .402 with 28 RBIs and 10 home runs. She hit .556 on the week last week, and has recorded multiple-hit performances in four out of the last five games.

Jenny Law is currently on a six-game hitting streak for the Lady Flames, and has driven in seven runs over the last three contests.

As a team, the Lady Flames have recorded double-digit hits in the last four straight games, and posted 42 hits in the three-game series against Gardner-Webb alone.

In the circle, Katrina Johnson is 10-5 on the year, while Tiffani Smith is 7-10 overall after going 3-1 for Liberty last week. Johnson has thrown 120.0 innings this season, and leads the pitching staff with a 2.39 ERA and 67 strikeouts.

Hampton
The Pirates (12-26, 5-4 MEAC) most recently won two out of three games over conference opponent Howard. Bre'Anna Brown and Sharde Estep are both hitting over .300 this season, as Brown leads the team in hits (31) and Travonna Byrd has driven in the most runs (19).

The Hampton pitching staff has struggled this year, as the team posts an overall ERA of 8.34. Heather Ryder is 3-7 in the circle with a 7.52 ERA, while Byrd is 4-15 with 53 strikeouts in 110.0 innings pitched.

The Lady Flames are 35-7 all-time against the Pirates, and swept Hampton on the road last season, 8-4 and 8-3, on April 21, 2010. The year before, the Pirates defeated the Lady Flames, 2-0, at Liberty Softball Field, before Liberty came back to win game two, 5-1, on March 24, 2009.

Norfolk State
The Spartans are 10-21 overall and 3-6 in the MEAC this season, and most recently dropped an extra-innings thriller to South Carolina State, 11-10, Saturday afternoon. Norfolk State won the first two games of that conference series, 4-1 and 4-3.

Jeanette Sauceda leads the team with a .372 batting average, while Danielle Wright is hitting .333 with five home runs and 19 RBIs this season.

Casey Pomeroy leads the pitching staff with a 3.24 ERA and a 5-7 record, tallying 59 strikeouts in 77.2 innings of work.

The Lady Flames are 12-0 all-time against the Spartans, after sweeping last year's doubleheader on the road, 8-1 and 9-3, on April 20, 2010.
