The Lady Flames will face UNC Greensboro in a road doubleheader tomorrow at 3 p.m.

The Liberty Lady Flames are back on the road tomorrow, heading south to face the Spartans of UNC Greensboro in Greensboro, N.C. The first game of the non-conference softball doubleheader is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.

Live stats for both games will be available via GameTracker on LibertyFlames.com.

The Lady Flames (12-14, 3-2 Big South) are coming off a 2-1 weekend, as they took two wins from Winthrop in a Big South series in Rock Hill, S.C.

The team is led by senior catcher Keely McMillon, whose batting average has gone from .182 to .421 since March 18. McMillon, who has been named the Big South Player of the Week for the last two weeks, has safely hit in seven of the last eight contests. She also had multiple-hit games in each game against Winthrop over the weekend.

McMillon is the second Big South player to win the weekly honor in back-to-back weeks this season. Coastal Carolina freshman Brooke Donovan won the award on Feb. 28 and March 7.

Meanwhile, junior infielder Kelly Strickland is on a 12-game hitting streak, the longest of her career. Before this year, the longest streak for the Tabor City, North Carolina native was 11 games, during her sophomore campaign.

As a team, Liberty's offense has exploded in the last two weeks, as the Lady Flames have recorded double-digit hits in three of the last four games, including a season-high 16 knocks in Saturday's 13-6 victory over the Eagles.

UNC Greensboro is 15-18 overall this season, and 6-3 in Southern Conference play. The Spartans have won two in a row after taking two wins over Western Carolina in a three-game conference series.

The Spartans have been successful at the plate this year, as six different players are hitting above .300.

Kaitlin Merkt leads the team with eight home runs and 26 RBIs, while Alex Emerito has recorded 35 hits. As a team, the Spartans are hitting .292 in 2011.

The pitching staff has struggled, with the lowest ERA being Cory Mattson's (4.18). Mattson is 8-9 on the year, and leads the team with 60 strikeouts.

Liberty split a doubleheader with UNC Greensboro last season, falling 11-10 in game one before taking game two, 10-2, at Liberty Softball Field, on April 7, 2010.

The Lady Flames are 9-25 all-time against the Spartans.
