McMillon Named Big South Player of the Week

Liberty senior catcher Keely McMillon was selected as the Big South Conference Choice Hotels Softball Player of the Week for games played March 21-27.

The honor is McMillon's first career Player of the Week accolade.

McMillon finished the week with a .600 batting average (6-for-10) with six runs, five RBIs, a .643 on base percentage and two home runs, helping Liberty to a 2-2 record last week.

In a conference match-up with Radford, she went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and a home run, helping the Flames to an 11-2 win.

Against Cornell, McMillon went 2-for-3, with a solo home run in the 10-6 loss. She finished the week with three walks, no strikeouts and a 1.200 slugging percentage, while recording 11 putouts, two assists and no errors.

McMillon and the Lady Flames are back in action tomorrow, hosting Virginia in a non-conference doubleheader at 2 p.m.
