Nina Dunay finished with six goals on Sunday, making her the first Lady Flame to net six tallies in a single game. Dunay currently leads the nation in goals per game, averaging 5.5 per contest.

Liberty attacker Nina Dunay has been named the National Lacrosse Conference (NLC) Co-Player of the Week for games played March 1-March 6, as announced earlier by the conference office.

Dunay compiled two stellar performances in Liberty's pair of contests last week. The freshman concluded the slate with a combined 11 goals, two assists, seven ground balls, four draw controls and two caused turnovers. Dunay currently leads the nation in goals per game, averaging 5.5 per contest.

In the Lady Flames' season-opening win against St. Francis (Pa.) last Tuesday, Dunay recorded five goals and two assists, en route to the 11-10 victory. The win at Osborne Stadium marked Liberty's first home victory in program history.

On Sunday, Dunay followed up her effort with six goals in a 15-11 defeat versus Monmouth at Williams Stadium, making her the first Lady Flame to net six markers in a single game. The Ashburn, Va., native also chipped in four ground balls and three draw controls in the contest.

The Lady Flames (1-1) return to action on Saturday, when they head to Loudonville, N.Y. to take on Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) member Siena. The opening draw at Siena Turf Field is set for 11 a.m.
