Liberty University junior right-side hitter Mary Alice Pike has been named the Big South Conference Choice Hotels Volleyball Player of the Week after a standout performance at the Army of One Classic this past weekend.

Pike (Jr., RS, Durham, N.C.) was named to the Army of One Classic all-tournament team after leading the Lady Flames to victory in two out of three matches at the event. She reached double digits in kills in each contest and has now done so in six consecutive matches. On the weekend, Pike posted 44 kills, a .362 attack percentage and 19 digs.

The junior contributed a team-high 15 kills and three aces in Liberty's 3-1 victory over Navy Friday evening. She then notched 11 kills on a .579 attack percentage in Saturday's 3-0 sweep of The Citadel. That effort helped the Lady Flames achieve a team single-match record .457 attack percentage. To wrap up her weekend, Pike equaled her career high in kills (18) and added nine digs as Liberty dropped a 3-2 heartbreaker to Army Saturday evening.

Pike and the rest of the Lady Flames will return to action on Tuesday at 7 p.m. when they travel to James Madison.
