Junior Carol Lobel has won five singles matches this year, as well as five doubles contests.

After a 1-1 weekend and eight-straight road contests, the Liberty women's tennis team makes its home debut for the 2011 season on Tuesday in a 1 p.m. match against East Carolina. The home contest is the first of three-straight on Liberty Mountain, with the Lady Flames having six matches at home this season.

After dropping its Big South opener against No. 66 Winthrop on Saturday, Liberty responded by defeating Charlotte handily, 6-1, on Sunday. The victory in Charlotte included a win by freshman Annisha Dominich over Iveta Guneva, which snapped a 13-match singles win streak by Guneva. The Lady Flames' record now stands at 4-4 for the year.

The trio of Jordan Jenkins, Rebekah Jenkins and Carol Lobel has paced the Liberty women in singles play this year, with each notching five victories. Meanwhile, Rebekah Jenkins and Hannah Fick have been the leading duo, scoring four victories in doubles play.

East Carolina is 7-2 on the season. This includes a 7-0 win over Appalachian State, a team Liberty fell to in its season opener, 5-2, and a 4-3 win over Campbell, who Liberty knocked off by the same score.

Petra Vogel, Neena Wanko and Yilian Zhang each have recorded six singles victories on the year for the Lady Pirates, while being shuffled around in the lineup. Vogel has played at No. 1 and No. 2, while Wanko has competed at the No. 3 through No. 5 spots. Zhang has picked up three wins at both the No. 4 and No. 6 spots, and has won four straight matches.

Manon Bissat and Wanko are East Carolina's leading doubles team, scoring six wins for the team. Four victories have come at No. 3. The duo has also had one win at both the No. 1 and No. 2 spots.

The match with East Carolina will take place on the Hershey Tennis Courts. They are the lower set of courts on Campus North on Liberty's campus.
