After a 3-6 start, the Liberty women's basketball team has won three of its last four contests. Nick Pierce caught up with head coach Carey Green to recap the Lady Flames' recent success and look ahead to the team's games at Presbyterian College and UNC Asheville this weekend.

Most recently, Liberty opened Big South Conference play with a 68-60 victory at High Point Monday evening. Devon Brown led all scorers with 17 points, Avery Warley posted her fifth double-double (12 points, season-high 15 rebounds) of the season and Emily Frazier finished with a career-high eight assists. The next day, Frazier was tabbed the Big South Freshman of the Week.

Saturday, Liberty will play at Presbyterian College, with a 5 p.m. tipoff scheduled at the Templeton Center. Both the Lady Flames and Blue Hose are among four teams tied for the early Big South Conference lead at 1-0.

The Lady Flames will then head to UNC Asheville for their final visit to the Justice Center, before the Bulldogs' new basketball arena opens next season. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. Monday evening.
