Karyl Bacon

Liberty senior Karyl Bacon was recently named to the COBRA Magazine All-National third team. The outside hitter from Temecula, Calif., was named to the publication's all-region team in December, while teammate Loren Thomas earned a regional honorable mention.

COBRA showcases the talents of volleyball players of African descent, and the magazine named 45 players to its second annual all-national team.

Bacon wrapped a stellar four-year career as a Lady Flame, as she was named to the Big South all-conference first team, the Big South Championship all-tournament team and the ESPN Academic All-District second team as a senior.
