As the Liberty women's basketball team wraps up final exams and prepares to return to the court, Nick Pierce caught up with head coach Carey Green and redshirt sophomore guard/forward Devon Brown.

Liberty has not played since Dec. 5, when the Lady Flames suffered a tightly contested 54-51 setback at James Madison. That game marked Brown's first contest of the year, after she had missed the first seven games due to a knee injury. She tallied 14 points in just 17 minutes of action against the Dukes.

The 3-5 Lady Flames will have two opportunities to claim their first road victory of the season within the coming week. Liberty will make its first-ever visit to North Carolina Central Saturday at 2 p.m. The Lady Flames will then head to VCU Tuesday at 7 p.m., for their final game before Christmas.
