As Sam Chelanga and Evans Kigen make final preparations for Monday's NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships in Terre Haute, Ind., the Liberty men's cross country team is featured on Flotrack's latest Workout Wednesday segment.

Flotrack's Justin Kopunek visited Liberty's campus on Nov. 2 to conduct several interviews and film the Flames' afternoon workout. The practice, conducted at the Campus East intramural fields, featured 10 1K repeats. Chelanga began each repeat 10 seconds behind his teammates and attempted to chase them down. (Kigen ran his workout separately earlier in the day, due to a class conflict.)

This marked the 100th Workout Wednesday Flotrack has produced during the website's five years of existence. It is the second time Liberty has appeared on Workout Wednesday. Flotrack previously featured a track workout with Chelanga, Kigen, David Cheromei and Jarvis Jelen on May 14, 2008.

Chelanga and Kigen finished first and second, respectively, at Saturday's NCAA Division I Southeast Regional Championships in Louisville, Ky., earning berths at the national meet. Chelanga will attempt to defend his national championship, while Kigen hopes to improve upon last season's 20th-place finish.

The men's 10K national championship race will get underway Monday at 12:48 p.m. at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course. Live video streaming of the race will be available via NCAA.com. Flotrack will also be on hand in Terre Haute, providing previews, race analysis and interviews.
