Big South Women's Soccer Championship Pushed Back One Day Due To Weather

Due to ongoing rain, the Big South Conference announced today that it has pushed back the start of the 2010 Women's Soccer Championship one day to Friday, Nov. 5. The tournament was scheduled to begin today, Thursday, Nov. 4 at the Patrick D. Cupp Memorial Stadium on the campus of Radford, but due to field conditions and continued rain in the Radford area, the championship will now be contested Nov. 5-7.

The adjusted game schedule appears below. The quarterfinals will now be played on Friday, with the semifinals now moved to Saturday. The championship game remains Sunday as scheduled.

Friday, Nov. 5 - Quarterfinals
Game 1: No. 4 Charleston Southern vs. No. 5 High Point – 11:30am
Game 2: No. 1 Winthrop vs. No. 8 VMI - 2:00pm
Game 3: No. 3 Coastal Carolina vs. No. 6 Liberty - 4:30pm
Game 4: No. 2 Radford vs. No. 7 Gardner-Webb - 7:00pm

Saturday, Nov. 6 - Semifinals
Game 5: Winner Game 1 vs. Winner Game 2 – 4:30pm
Game 6: Winner Game 3 vs. Winner Game 4 – 7:00pm

Sunday, Nov. 7– Championship
Game 7: Winner Game 5 vs. Winner Game 6 – 2:00pm
