Flames Wrestler Draws Hometown Media Attention

An All-State performer in three sports at American Christian Academy, Judson Miller hoped to become a collegiate athlete, but at times his prospects seemed to be diminishing. Then he got a call from Jesse Castro.

Miller established a precedent for the ACA wrestling program by accepting a scholarship to Liberty University. Castro, a former collegiate wrestler, returned to his alma mater to revive the program. Liberty, located in Lynchburg, Va., sanctioned wrestling from 1974-1994.
