Seven of Liberty's 11 regular-season football games will have regional or national television coverage on various networks during the 2010 season, as announced by the Flames Sports Network and Athletics Department on Wednesday.

All five of Liberty's home football games will be on regional and national television networks, while the Flames' Big South road contests at VMI and Coastal Carolina are also slated to hit the broadcast airwaves.

For the fourth year in a row, the Flames Sports Network (FSN) will be handling television broadcasts for five of Liberty's 2010 football games. The five-game slate, which includes the first four home games and the road contest at VMI, is scheduled to kick off this Saturday in the Flames' 2010 opener against St. Francis, Pa., at Lynchburg City Stadium.

FSN is broadcast locally in the Lynchburg/Roanoke markets on the Liberty Channel (WTLU) and on WSET's Digital 2 station (WRTN 13.2), with both networks carrying the contest live.

For the second-straight year, MASN (Mid-Atlantic Sports Network) and FamilyNet have partnered with Liberty Athletics to pick up FSN's five television broadcasts. The two networks increase Liberty's national television coverage by 40 million households, coast-to-coast.

MASN will be carrying Liberty's opener against St. Francis live, while providing delayed coverage for its games against Savannah State (Oct. 2), Charleston Southern (Oct. 9), VMI (Oct. 16) and Gardner-Webb (Nov. 6).

MASN will also provide live coverage of Liberty's season-finale against Stony Brook (Nov. 20), as part of the Big South Conference television package.

FamilyNet is a Christian-based network located in Los Colinas, Texas. FamilyNet, a subsidiary of Comstar Media, is a national 24-hour network that is available in 15 million households through multiple independent carriers.

FSN started partnering with JCTV, last year, and will once again offer its television broadcasts during the 2010 football season on a delayed basis.

The faith-based network, geared toward an audience ranging in age from 13-30, is based out of Santa Anna, Calif., and offers its programming on cable or television networks in more than 450 localities throughout the United States.

New to the FSN television broadcast partners is the Christian Television Network (CTN), which is a regional faith-based network with roughly 15 million households in state of Florida. CTN, which is based out of Clearwater, Fla., is slated to run all five of FSN's broadcasts live on its networks throughout the "Sunshine State."

Finally, Liberty's last regular-season opportunity for national television coverage will come on the road, when ESPN3.com covers the Flames' match-up with Big South rival Coastal Carolina on Nov. 13.

The Big South Network will also provide additional internet video coverage for the Flames in 2010. All five of Liberty's home games will be available on the subscription-based video service, as well as the Flames Big South road games.
