Liberty Men's Tennis Coach Chris Johnson has announced the signing of two student-athletes, Shea Thomas and Stan Vaughn to a National Letter of Intent. Both will enroll at Liberty for the 2010-11 academic year.

Thomas, a native of Petamula, Calif., recently won a championship level tournament in California and was selected No. 69 on the Prince Hot 100 list of U.S. junior tennis players, posted on tennisrecruiting.net .

"Shea's rapid development in the last year is a result of the type of hard work and dedication it takes to win at this level," stated Johnson . "He will be a very welcomed addition to our team and will no doubt compete for a starting position his first year."

Vaughn, who hails from Golden, Colo., is currently ranked No. 5 in Colorado, according to tennisrecruiting.net .

"Stan has a big game that will get even bigger as he moves into a more fluent tennis environment here at Liberty," commented Johnson. "I look forward to watching him achieve his full potential on and off the court here at Liberty."
