Getting to know Jenna Eatmon

What is your favorite Bible verse and why?
James 1:27, because it reminds me that religion is not something that you hold secretly inside; it is something that should consume every part of your life and all the world should see it.

I know it's not good for me, but I love to eat …
Ledo Pizza… wait, Jenny, is pizza a carb?

What is the best movie you watched over the last year?
The better question is, what movie haven't I learned how to quote in the past year?

I came to Liberty because …
Of Sparky.

Share something about one of your teammates that someone outside the program would never know without you telling them.
J'nae and Cassie are actually really good at power cleans… who knew?

My earliest memory while competing in my sport is …
Hitting my dog Zeke with a bat while Dad and I were playing in the front yard.

If you could be somebody else for a day, who would you be and why?
My psychology professors, so I could give myself all A's and cancel all of my classes.

The best part of being a Liberty student-athlete is…
Mental toughness runs and forgetting what it feels like to sleep! Eventually, your legs go numb.

My dream job would be…
To help little children – I'm pursuing my dream job right now.

The team that I'm most looking forward to competing against this year is (and why) …
Norfolk State, because they bust out their drum sticks in the dugout.

If you could have one super power, what would it be and why?
I would be super smart so I could get my grad work done really fast and be able to start making money.

The TV show I can't live without watching each week is…
Secret Life of an American Teenager, because there is a lifetime worth of drama in each and every episode.

If I were named "Coach for a Day," I would make my coaches…
I would make all four of them wear camo outfits to match our hats from last year, because that's just plain funny.

My favorite thing about being a part of the Liberty softball team is …
Spending time with my teammates and knowing they are all working hard toward the same goal as I am.

My personal goals this season are …
To do everything I can to get this team a ring.

What is the most exciting thing you did this summer?
I went "spelunking" in the Adirondacks with my best friend in the whole wide world, Jessica Leary.

What is your favorite vacation spot?
Emerald Isle, N.C. Carolina girls, nothin' finer.

Do you have any pre-game habits/rituals, and what are they?
I do a morning devotional and then listen to Bridgett and Jenny play their rap music as loud as they can on their iPods.

What is the best advice you have ever received, and who gave it to you?
"Don't be a fall ball hero; I'd rather have you as a Big South hero. Fall ball heroes are spring bench warmers." – Coach Jess
