The Liberty women's lacrosse team (1-6, 1-2 NLC) hosts its final home game of the season on Friday, taking on Central Connecticut State. The Blue Devils (3-4, 0-3 NEC) are the Lady Flames' third Northeast Conference opponent this season, having previously faced Long Island and Saint Francis (Pa.). Liberty's opening draw with the Blue Devils at Osborne Stadium is slated for 3 p.m.

Prior to the contest Liberty will honor two of its seniors – attacker Karen Yates and goalie Rebekah Luetters. Yates, a native of Lancaster, Pa., has four goals on the season and is second on the team in ground balls (13) and draw controls (9). Luetters, who has 54 saves this season, is pacing the Lady Flames in ground balls with 28. The Ballston Spa, N.Y., native is also leading Liberty in caused turnovers with six.

Liberty is coming off a 16-5 loss to Saint Francis (Pa.) this past Tuesday. Chloe McIntosh led the Lady Flames in scoring for the second time this season, rounding out the afternoon with a hat trick. Attacker Kristin Crowley and midfielder Anna Starling chipped in a goal apiece to cap off Liberty's scoring total.

Central Connecticut State enters Friday's meeting with a 3-4 record on the season and a 0-3 posting in NEC play. The Blue Devils are coming off a win against NLC competitor Howard on Wednesday afternoon, defeating the Bison, 20-8, in the nation's capital. Like Central Connecticut State, Liberty also owns a win over the NLC member. The Lady Flames picked up the program's first win against the Bison on March 6, edging Howard, 17-16, in an overtime victory.

Friday's contest marks Central Connecticut State's third matchup against an NLC opponent, currently holding a 2-0 record against Liberty's conference counterparts. In addition to Howard, the Blue Devils also possess a victory over Presbyterian, as they opened their season by edging the Blue Hose in New Britain, Conn., 14-13, on March 2.

Through their first seven contests, the Blue Devils own a shooting percentage of .361 (66-of-183) and shot-on-goal percentage of .749 (137-of-183). Central Connecticut State has successfully cleared the ball 87 times out of 132 attempts, reaching the offensive zone at a clip of .659. The Blue Devils' opponents have also fared well clearing the ball, doing so .794 percent of the time (85-of-107).

Crowley and freshman attacker Lauren See lead the Lady Flames in goals with 10 on the season. The Lady Flames currently own a shot-on-goal percentage of .764 (84-of-110) and a shot percentage of .391, finding the net on 43-of-110 shot attempts. Through its first six games this season, Liberty has garnered more offensive success in the second period, netting 23 of its 43 goals in the latter stanza.

Flames fans are encouraged to show their support Friday afternoon, as Liberty Athletics will give away free T-shirts during the game. Be sure to follow LibertyFlames.com for live stats during the game, as well as a post game recap following the action.
