The Liberty women's lacrosse team remains in the Sunshine State on Thursday, taking on fellow NLC competitor Jacksonville. The opening draw is set for 6 p.m.

Liberty is coming off a loss to Long Island on Sunday, falling to the Blackbirds in St. Johns, Fla., 19-9. Liberty's Lauren See led the Lady Flames in scoring with a hat trick, netting all three of her goals in the final seven minutes of the first period.

The Dolphins enter Thursday's matchup with a 3-6 record overall and a 1-0 posting in conference play. Jacksonville also took on Long Island this week, defeating the Blackbirds, 21-10, on Tuesday. The Dolphins' Megan Lusby and Brie Kitchelt led the scoring attack with four goals apiece. The hosting Dolphins took a 5-0 lead early and did not look back, controlling the lead for 57 minutes.

Much like Liberty, Jacksonville is in its first season as an NCAA Division I program. Thursday's matchup marks Jacksonville's second conference game this year, with a win over last season's conference runner-up, Detroit-Mercy, on Feb. 27 in Clinton, S.C.

See leads the Lady Flames in goals with nine on the season, followed by Kristin Crowley, who has eight markers. Goalie Rebekah Leutters, who has 29 saves this season, is the team's leader in ground balls with six. Starling has forced the most miscues on the year, with five caused turnovers.

The Lady Flames currently own a shot-on-goal percentage of 78.7 percent (48-of-61) and a shot percentage of 47.5, finding the net on 29-of-61 shot attempts. Through its first three games this season, Liberty has garnered more offensive success in the second period, netting 17 of its 29 goals in the latter stanza.
