Liberty's Chad Simpson has been named Big South Men's Tennis Co-Player of the Week, along with Radford's Ivan Salec. The conference office announced the selections this afternoon.

Simpson, a senior, went unbeaten with six victories last week, as the Flames went 3-0 during Liberty's Spring Break trip. Liberty defeated Fairfield, Northern Illinois and Southern Illinois-Edwardsville in Orlando, Fla.

The senior won each of his singles contests in straight sets, taking two of the contests at the No. 3 position in head coach Chris Johnson's line-up, and one in the No. 4 spot. In doubles, he teamed with Giancarlo Lemmi at the No. 2 position, and only gave up two points in three matches, running their record to 8-2 overall.

Simpson and the Flames will host James Madison on Thursday at the Liberty Tennis Courts. Match time is scheduled for 2 p.m.
