Liberty Head Women's Soccer Coach Jessica Hain has announced the signing of six athletes to NLIs for the 2010-2011 academic year. The 2010 recruiting class includes Dawn Elmers, Jenna Fraser, Kristin Horton, Chelsey Johnson, Casey Norris and Megan Warner.

"The Liberty women's soccer program is thrilled to announce the signees of our 2010 freshman class," commented head coach Jessica Hain. "Each incoming student-athlete has unique character both on and off the soccer field, which will be a continued blessing to our team that is already filled with awesome character and joy. It is wonderful to see our family grow and we will welcome these new girls with open arms as we seek to take another step towards training champions for Christ."

Dawn Elmers (Fenwick, Ontario, Canada)
Dawn Elmers will come to Liberty from Smithville District Christian High School in Ontario, Canada.

She played central defense for the Niagara Rush club team, and chose Liberty over schools such as Tusculum and Campbell.

The daughter of Albert and Kathy Elmers intends to major in religion and women's ministries at Liberty.

Jenna Fraser (Grand Blanc, Mich.)
Jenna Fraser, a defender and midfielder, is currently a senior at Grand Blanc High School in Grand Blanc, Mich. She is a two-time varsity captain for Grand Blanc, and has received two all-district team honors and one first team all-conference award. She also won her school's Bobcat Spirit Award each year from 2007-2009. Additionally, Fraser is a member of the National Honor Society.

Fraser's club team, the Bloomfield Force Futbol Club, was second in the 2009 MRL Region 2 Blue Division, a 2009 State Cup Semi-finalist and ended 2009 ranked third in the state of Michigan.

Fraser was a member of the Olympic Development Program from 2003-2006, and a 2007 state team alternate.

The daughter of Andrew and Dawn Fraser intends to major in English at Liberty.

Kristin Horton (Charlotte, N.C.)
Kristin Horton will come to Liberty from Charlotte Latin School in Charlotte, N.C. At Charlotte Latin,

Horton is a two-time all-conference and all-county honoree, and has also received all-region and all-state honors as a sophomore and junior. She was part of the Olympic Development Program in 2007 and 2008, and served as a goalkeeper for the Charlotte Soccer Academy.

The intended kinesiology major is the daughter of Lee and Mercedes Horton.

Chelsey Johnson (Concord, Calif.)
Chelsey Johnson is currently a senior at Berean Christian High School in Concord, Calif. She was her team's leading scorer as a freshman, a four-year starter, a two-time captain and a DVAL All-League Honorable Mention as a junior.

Johnson, a forward for the Mustang Spirit club team, was a 2009 Far West Regional participant and a 2009 Surf Cup participant. She also participated in the Olympic Development Program.

Johnson also excels in the classroom, as she was named a North Coast Section CIF Scholar-Athlete four years, and was also named a junior marshal and received the Distinguished Christian High School Student Award.

The daughter of Brent and Catherine Johnson plans to major in graphic arts at Liberty.

Chelsey Johson



Casey Norris (Pittsboro, N.C.)
Casey Norris will come to Liberty from Northwood High School in Pittsboro, N.C. During her prep career, Norris has been a two-time North Carolina all-state selection, a three-time all-conference selection and has also been an all-region honoree. She is also a two-time all-state and three-time all-conference selection in basketball.

Norris also competed as a midfielder/forward for the TFC Navy '92 team.

Norris is the daughter of Todd and Cheryl Norris, and is currently undecided on a major.

Megan Warner (Uniontown, Ohio)
Megan Warner will graduate from Lake High School in Uniontown, Ohio, where she has received a four-year tri-athlete award for competing in soccer, basketball and track & field.

Warner was named the team MVP and was first-team all-league and first-team all-county as a junior and as a senior. She has also received a Wendy's Athlete of the Month honor and was named the Snyder-VanNostran-Young-Darrah Insurance Student of the Month.

Warner also succeeded on the track, and was a regional qualifier in the 400-meter event as a freshman and as a sophomore. She was also the Team MBP as a freshman, sophomore and junior. Additionally, she was a three-year varsity letter winner in basketball.

The national honor society member is also the recipient of an academic letter.

Warner, the daughter of Steve and Sue Warner, is undecided on a college major.
