Jordan Jenkins has been named the Big South Women's Tennis Player of the Week for the second time this season.

Liberty's Jordan Jenkins has been selected as the Big South Women's Tennis Player of the Week, the conference announced this afternoon.

Jenkins wins the honor for the second time this season. The Sararsota, Fla., junior was also selected as the conference's Women's Tennis Player of the Week on Feb. 2.

Jenkins won each contest she competed in last week in matches against East Carolina and Campbell. Liberty's No. 1 singles player dropped only two games in a straight-set victory over Audrey LePottier (6-1, 6-1) of ECU last Wednesday, before defeating Campbell's Lisa Sutton, Saturday, 7-5, 6-0. In doubles action, she and her partner Hannah Fick won both of their contests at the No. 1 position. Jenkins is currently ranked 99th in the country in singles and has won four consecutive singles matches. The junior currently is 5-1 in singles.

Jenkins and the rest of the Lady Flames take a break from action over the next two weeks. They return to the courts on March 5, when they visit Charleston Southern to begin Big South Conference play.
