Lacrosse Schedule Features Two Home Matchups

Flames fans will have the opportunity to witness two home games during the Lady Flames' inaugural lacrosse season. Liberty plays host to Anne Arundel and Central Connecticut on March 20 and 26 respectively.

As a new year begins, the stage is set for Liberty's inaugural lacrosse team with the release of the 2010 schedule.

Two home matchups, road trips to New York, Florida and Pennsylvania and a six-pack of National Lacrosse Conference (NLC) contests make up the Lady Flames' docket. Liberty opens its season on the road, facing off with the defending NLC champion Longwood Lancers in Farmville, Va., March 3.
Conference play continues on March 6, as the Lady Flames travel to the nation's capital to take on Howard.

Liberty will then take its first major road trip, heading to the Sunshine State for a pair of matchups. The Lady Flames kick off their two-game swing in Jacksonville, Fla., against Long Island (March 14) followed by a meeting with NLC competitor Jacksonville on March 18.

Two days after its contest with Jacksonville, Liberty gears up for its first home game at Osborne Stadium, playing host to Anne Arundel at 6 p.m. The Lady Flames then hit the road again for back-to-back contests in Loretto, Pa., facing UC Davis on March 22, followed by a matchup with St. Francis (Pa.) on March 23.

Liberty returns to Osborne Stadium for its final game in 2010's third month, hosting Central Connecticut on March 26.

The Lady Flames begin the last quarter of their season on the road, starting with a matchup in Rochelle, N.Y., against Iona on April 3. Liberty finishes out the docket with three-straight conference contests. On April 10, the team takes the field in Detroit, Mich., squaring off with Detroit Mercy.

Following the Motor City matchup, Liberty visits the Carolinas, beginning with in Clinton, S.C., against Presbyterian on April 17. One week later, the team heads to Davidson, N.C., playing its final contest of its inaugural season against Davidson on April 24.
