Due to the severe inclement weather that blanketed most of the East Coast this weekend, Liberty's wrestling program was unable to travel west to participate in the Reno Tournament of Champions which was held earlier on Sunday in Reno, Nev.

No. 4 Oklahoma State successfully defended its title in the event, as the Cowboys took individual titles in five of the 10 weight classes.

Oklahoma State finished the event with 154 points, while No. 17 Edinboro was a distant second with 85.5 points. No. 15 Penn State rounded out the top three programs, finishing just 1.5 half points behind Edinboro for third with 83 points.

Following some time off for Christmas, the Flames will return to the wrestling mats on Dec. 29-30 when they travel to Greensboro, N.C., to participate in the Southern Scuffle. The two-day event, which will be held at the Greensboro Coliseum, will be Liberty's final regular-season tournament before return to full dual action on Jan. 8-9 at the Virginia Duals.
