The Liberty women's soccer team experienced great success on the soccer field in 2009. The Lady Flames completed the biggest turnaround in team history by capturing their first Big South regular season title since 2003 and placed six players on all-conference teams.

However, these ladies will tell you soccer is just a tool they use to accomplish a much larger goal: sharing Christ with everyone they encounter.

Before the 2009 season, 10 players and Coach Jess Hain traveled to Brazil for a two-week mission trip. Recently, LibertyFlames.com caught up with Hain, senior captain Rachel Wisehart and sophomores Karen Blocker and Kendra Dalton to find out how they used their soccer abilities to spread the gospel.
